That's right. It's been an entire year since my last post. I'm that awesome.
Let me start with yesterday. We drove the hour and twenty minutes to Provo for the day. We met up with two of Peter's six brothers, Alex and Davod, and their wives and kids, Chelsea, Sherrie, Adelaide and Benjamin. Theo has been fascinated by origami recently, mostly because he wants to make a dragon. So we toured the Origami Exhibit at the Museum of Art on BYU's campus. The creations were spectacular. After that we found a nice patch of grass and blew bubbles for the kids while the brothers threw around a football. Then David showed us what he does for work. We saw a bunch big fire enclosed in a large cylindrical furnace. David tests the temperature at various locations. That's the extent of what I understood.
Then Peter took Theo and Oscar back to Erda in anticipation of playing in the stake basketball tournament. Unfortunately, his team had to forfeit due to insufficient attendance. He was pretty bummed. All the while I was still in Provo at a ginormous clothing swap. Admittance is one bag of clothes. After sorting everything, we enjoyed a potluck dinner
. And then, finally, the "shopping" began. It was madness! I was specifically searching for mint colored dress shirts for the boys for Chelsea and Alex's wedding. Well, I found one! It will fit Wally perfectly. So yay! I also found a smashing sweater for Oscar and lots of summer clothes for them all.
I got a ride back with a friend, and didn't get home until 10 p.m. But it was worth it. Thrifting is the way to go.

Horseback Riding Lessons
Our quality of life just went UP!
At the cost of only $10 per lesson!
On Theo and Oscar's favorite horse, Oreo.
Theo had his first horseback riding lesson yesterday. He was in heaven. I loved watching him focus and respond so well to his teacher, who is amazing by the way. She let Oscar hop on for a quick ride at the end.

Help!
My 3-year old is chewing holes through his shirts. Something has got to be bothering him. Has anyone gone through this before? The most effective thing so far has been making a spitting noise every time we see him chewing, which reminds him to spit out his shirt. But it's not working anymore. At first putting him in collared shirts that button up to his neck worked, but then he started lifting the bottom of his shirt and chewing there. I am throwing away 3-4 shirts a week. This has been going on for about a month now. I don't know what to do. We will consider and appreciate any tips you may have. Please, help!

Ashworth Family Reunion
Peter's grandma, Rachel Ashworth put on a fabulous family reunion in July. We had a wonderful time and plan on returning to Bear Lake more than once. Thank you, GG, for all you did so we could have this time together.
I wasn't emailed a pic of Sam, Ben, or Mark Pugh's family. If I am, I will include them!
Lather up, it's time for a mud bath. I hear mud is great for exfoliating your skin.

A Happy Surprise
I got a ton of children's books 6 for $1, but the best find was an accident. The lady said it was a volleyball net, $3. On the 4-minute ride home, I had decided I was going to bring it to the family reunion coming up in two weeks. But it wasn't a volleyball net after all. It was this:

Nickel Auction Fun!
If you don't know what a nickel auction is, just watch this newsclip, then you'll get the idea: http://paulandtiff.blogspot.com/2009/04/nickel-auction.html
About a week and a half ago I hosted another neighborhood nickel auction. The entire week prior I went through all my closets so I could be ready to sell! And I made just over $20. I was pleased.
You know what I spent my earnings on? A chocolate brown, leather coffee table/ottoman from the D.I. for $20. My favorite feature is the four storage receptacles. They've been put to good use holding movies, games, train tracks, and blankets for cuddling.

One of the hot-ticket items for sale was a hiking baby backpack.
Since I bought this skirt for $.01 at Old Navy and sold it for $1.55 at the Nickel Auction, I made a an amazing profit, ha ha!

Baby Blessing
My younger brother and his wife blessed their baby girl last Sunday. She is so sweet and so precious. I'm so glad I was able to be there for it.
The dress my mom is wearing is the same one she wore when my brother was blessed!
