Block Party

Four days ago my neighbor friend rented one of those large inflatable water slides for the day and invited the entire neighborhood over. I so enjoyed chatting with these lovely ladies while the kids played for hours. I even went down a few times. It was a wonderful time, and the experience wore my boys out beautifully; they took close to a 4-hour nap later that day!

BBQ and Star Gazing

Yesterday we had two of my brothers and their wives and kids over for a barbeque. We like having them nearby. Once it was dark enough, we laid blankets on the front lawn (it's nice having grass) to watch the stars. We were hoping for a meteor shower, but I think Peter was a day ahead. This morning he said he mistakenly thought it was last night when it really is tonight. We had a good time anyway. It's so nice outside on these warm summer nights.

Our Spring Break Staycation!

Peter took two and a half days off from work last week since it was his Spring Break from school. Monday morning before sunrise, we packed the boys into the car and headed into town. We got to jump at The Wairhouse (http://www.thewairhousetrampolinepark.com/) for FREE because KSL was doing a news segment on it and needed jumpers. They provided free breakfast as well. We had a blast! So worth waking up at 5am!!

                                                      

 

We got pizza at Sam's Club.

Then we used our Pass of All Passes to go bowling.

Wednesday (day off #2)

 We visited the Tracy Aviary, saw some beautiful birds!

We played at the park for lunch.

After we got home, the boys went down for a long nap while Peter spread the manure and I cleaned up inside.

Sunday afternoon ride in the wagon. It was pretty windy out!

It seems like life is so busy anymore that we don't get to see much of each other, so this Spring Break Staycation was really nice. Lately Theo and especially Oscar have love their dad; they've been missing him more than usual lately. Oscar will call out for him randomly during the day. Breaks my heart. But  soon Dad will be done with school, and when he is (August), he will be home at least 12 more hours every week. Won't that be a treat!

My first craft as a homeowner, thanks to my awesome friend down the street for showing me how! We made this back in November, just in time for Thanksgiving.
